New Orleans Area Memorial Day Weekend Events
Memorial Day has long been a combined Salute to our veterans and a marker to the opening of summer. Hopefully the three (for some of us four!) day weekend is both a time of appreciation and one of relaxation for you.
Here are a few things going on in the area this coming weekend:
Salute to Veterans Cruise:
We don’t take our veterans for granted-- we celebrate them.
American Queen Steamboat Company and Virtuoso Voyages are hosting a 9 day “Salute to Veterans” cruise from New Orleans to Mephis, starting on the 29th.
Included
- Regionally inspired fine dining
- Broadway-caliber entertainment and enrichment
- Comprehensive, guided shore excursions
- Authentic Paddlewheel Riverboat
Two NOLA Classic Crawfish Boils:
The Breaux Bridge Festival may be cancelled, but there are still some fun crawfish boils around town.
Scramuzza’s Seafood is boiling crawfish at Miel! Come grab a beer and hot boiled crawfish during this beautiful spring weather. Grab some delicious crawfish to eat in the beer garden or get it to-go.
